Platinum Négligée Art Deco necklace set with Diamonds. This necklace is set with 8 old-cut Diamonds and 16 rose-cut Diamonds. Two of the old-cut Diamonds are in the shape of "Dancing Diamonds", en tremblant, i.e. they oscillate slightly when handled.
The Diamonds are suspended from knife edge drops. All Diamonds are bezel set.
The clasp is hallmarked 750 for 18-carat gold, but the chain and pendant are Platinum and a guarantee is provided as such.
At the time this Necklace was made, Platinum was the preferred metal of choice, as its use in jewelry was recent and it was a guarantee of quality.
