Louis XVI Style Desk And Bookcase Set
Very nice set comprising a flat desk, a 4-door bookcase and a matching chair. In the Louis XVI style, these pieces are inlaid rosewood with decorations of flower baskets and various floral motifs. The bookcase features symbols of knowledge with the words Geography, History, Arts and Sciences. The 2 central doors are screened, allowing a view of the beautiful book bindings. The desk is decorated on all 4 sides with 2 retractable shelves that increase its surface area. The top is protected by thick beveled glass. The trim is bronze. The chair has been upholstered in brown skai. Everything is in very good condition and dates from the 1930s.
