Louis XIII style small oak desk

Charming little solid oak desk resting on four turned legs joined by an elegant H-shaped brace with balusters. It opens on the front with a drawer in the waistband retaining its turned wooden pull knob.

This piece displays all the hallmarks of Louis XIII furniture: architectural structure, robust construction, baluster legs and heavily worked bracing. The quality of the oak used and the beautiful patina acquired over time give it a particularly sought-after authentic character.

Harmonious dimensions allow it to be used as an occasional desk as well as a work table or console in a characterful interior.
