Very beautiful view of Honfleur and Place Sainte-Catherine circa 1920.

This is an Oil on canvas signed lower left and measuring 38 x 46 cm (46.5 x 54.5 cm with its frame)

The work is in perfect condition.

This is a very fine painting but there is a mystery concerning the identity of the artist.

There is a signature "GRAVES" in the lower left; there is an artist named François GRAVES, but his date of birth listed on Artprice is 1934, which cannot correspond to our painting.

His works are often executed in Normandy and he produced many beach views, which are later.

There are nevertheless some works that are stylistically close to our painting; it is possible that the date of birth indicated on Artprice is not the right one, especially as I have found no biographical information on the artist.
