Bernadette Thérèse De Lisieux Reliquary Frame Early 20th Century
In its twisted gilt bronze frame with its original convex glass and passe partout with glass beads and paperoles, this reliquary of Bernadette Thérèse de Lisieux is well showcased. This Carmelite nun, also known as Marie Thérèse l'Enfant Jésus, was beatified in 1923 by Pius XI and, in all likelihood, this reliquary can be dated to this period.
