Folding Table, Baroque Style, Italy, Mid-18th Century
A Baroque-style drop-front cabinet supported by curved legs; its curved front features three drawers plus a smaller one, topped by a drop-front door concealing a small cabinet with drawers. Veneered in burl with maple inlays, the interior is made of poplar and fir. It has undergone subsequent restorations and modifications: originally, it was a trumeau from which the top section was removed.
