Black stone drawing from 1799 by Sophie Guillemard depicting "Cupid" after Bartolomeo Schedoni or Schedone in French, also Le Schidone (Modena,1578-Parme,1615), early Baroque Italian painter active in Emilia Romagna.

Sophie Guillemard born 1780, was a painter active in Paris at the beginning of the 19th century, living at Hotel d'Aligre, 183 rue de Bailleul.
She was a pupil of M. Regnault and exhibited history paintings, animated scenes and portraits from 1801 to 1819 at the Paris Salon in the Musée du Louvre, including the lovely 1801 painting "Portrait d'une jeune fille distraite de sa leçon de musique" (number 171) in the Cincinnati Museum.
