Antique Tibetan Rug: 130 X 200 Cm - "galerie Sardje"
This rug has several characteristics that are more associated with Tibetan rugs influenced by Chinese art, rather than a pure classical Chinese rug.
- The deep red background with symmetrical patterns and "Grecian"-style borders is common in early Tibetan rugs.
- Probable origin: Tibet
- with strong Chinese influence
- probably a Ningxia / Tibet-China ancient or semi-ancient style rug.
