Artist: Thierry Bellangé
Beautiful posthumous portrait of King Edward 1st of England drawn on wove paper in pencil and red and black chalk by Lorraine portraitist Thierry Bellengé (1594-1638).the drawing is unsigned, but on the back is written in pencil the title of the drawing in a handwriting that strongly seems to be that of the artist (if compared with his signature, in the attached photo).
It should also be noted that behind the drawing is a piece of old vellum paper on which an old inscription can be read that could be similar to a signature.

The drawing is a little torn in the upper left-hand section.
The gilded wooden frame is a recut frame that is not original.
