ETR (Elliptical Table Rod Base) model, better known as the "Surfboard Table" because of its elliptical silhouette.
The spectacular example presented is entirely original and features a rare marble-top version, specifically intended for the European market and issued in limited series in the 1960s.
With its two chrome-plated legs, the table takes up a theme endlessly varied by the Eames: steel wires bent and welded to form a stable structure.
