Unsigned, comes from part of a small collection in the artist's studio.
Raymond Thibésart (1874-1968). Painter of figures, still lifes and landscapes. Born in Bar-sur-Aube, pupil of J. Lefèvre and T. Robert-Fleury. Exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1897 to 1922, the Indépendants and the Salon d'Automne. The painter owned a house in Vaux since 1903.
Oil on wood 13x21.5 cm, very good condition, small format.
Pretty early 20th century wooden frame from the same period as the painting, with visible interior height slightly higher than the painting.
