Mid 20th Century Swedish Modernism River Landscape Arch Bridge Oil Canvas Signed

This mid-20th-century Scandinavian landscape (1958), attributed to the Swedish artist B. Skarp (Birger Skarp, 1930–1972), is a magnificent example of Swedish modernism. The canvas depicts a monumental arch bridge over the Ljungan river in the Medelpad province, immersed in summer greenery. The artist uses an expressive style, focusing on structure and the simplification of forms.
