Robert VERNET-BONFORT born in 1934 in Marseille, he studied Art at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Marseille from 1948 to 1957, where he won numerous prizes. Selected for the Salon des peintres Témoins de leur temps and the Biennale Internationale de Menton, he won the Grand Prix de la fondation Elisabeth T.Greenshield de Montréal.
He has exhibited his work in France and abroad, particularly in England, Switzerland, Luxembourg, the United States and Canada.
A brilliant colorist, his compositions are always finely crafted and remarkably accurate. His precise drawing, astonishingly rich colors, both sumptuous and subtle, his warm, powerful style, his solid, perfectly proportioned construction and his sense of volume have seduced many international collectors.
