Baccarat Et Emile Bourgeois Paris Art Nouveau Uraline Crystal Vase With Rose Decoration

Baccarat vase in acid-etched, blue-lined ouraline crystal, decorated with wide-open branches of roses and eglantines, all on a granite background, characteristic of Baccarat's early production.

You'll appreciate the finesse of its decoration, delicately enhanced with gold, its rosehip frieze encircling the neck.

You'll also note its delicate green sheen due to the use of urane oxide, which adds to the preciousness of the piece.

Marked "E. Bourgeois Paris Déposé" under the base.

This was the famous Parisian distributor of earthenware, porcelain and crystal Emile Bourgeois (1832-1926) who, bound by an exclusive contract with Cristallerie lorraine, distributed certain pieces under his name alone.
