Art Nouveau 1900 Royal Dux Bohemia Ceramic Bust
This ceramic bust was made by Royal Dux. The Royal Dux factory, a Bohemian porcelain brand, became famous in the early 20th century for its Art Nouveau-style productions. Around 1900, this important factory produced vases and figurines, often with female subjects, in exuberant decorations of flowers, leaves on shell bases, fountains... Porcelain was left in cookie form, gilded or painted, often in green.
This ceramic is typical Art Nouveau, particularly for the vegetal and "Noodle" aspect. The lower part is iridescent in blue.
