Baccarat Lorraine Coupe Vase Centerpiece Présentoir Serviteur Art Nouveau Cristal Doublé Rouge

Exceptional in its quality and fine craftsmanship, this red-lined clear crystal bowl is richly engraved with the wheel.
Featuring a tulipwood vase with a wide open neck at its center, it ends with its clear crystal dolphin-shaped scalloped foot.
It is skilfully worked with the wheel, bringing out the finely engraved decoration of plant motifs: vines, leaves and fruit in bunches, ears of wheat, roses and foliage in garlands, as well as a large Lorraine Cross adorned with thistles with a thistle flower, symbols of Lorraine.
Ediffered, this is most certainly a commissioned piece.
A wide satin-finish crystal ring marks the junction between the bowl and the tulipwood. The piece therefore disassembles into two distinct parts.
Signature molded in relief in stick letters "BACCARAT" under the base, a signature that appears as early as 1875.
This magnificent piece, characterized by a wealth of highly precise details, blends several different glass-working techniques:
-fine wheel engraving on clear crystal covered with a thin layer of red crystal revealing the richness of its delicate decoration,
and molded-pressed work for the polished / frosted clear crystal dolphin-shaped base.
Second half of the 19th century.
