Beautiful Nevers polychrome earthenware inkwell with two cups and central penholder.
It comes from the Antoine Montagnon factory in Nevers and bears the famous mark with a green bow under the reverse. The mark was used from 1875 to 1899.
A slight yellowing of the enamel on the right foot probably indicates an old restoration (see last photos), but has no effect on the visual aspect of this magnificent object.
The two cups do not have lids.
Superb, highly decorative object.
