Illuminated Cabaret Or Nightclub Sign In Brass And Colored Glass, Circa 1970-1980.
Rare and spectacular antique advertising sign made of cut brass and backlit colored glass, presenting the rates of a nightclub or cabaret:
"SHOW", "2 drinks per person - 360 FF", "1/2 champagne per person - 420 FF", "NET PRICE".
This piece immediately evokes the atmosphere of cabarets, private clubs and nightclubs of the 1970s-1980s, probably intended to be installed at the entrance to a festive establishment or dance hall.
The reverse side reveals a handcrafted assembly with red, blue and amber colored glass plates allowing particularly aesthetic luminous lighting once the piece has been electrified.
The typographic graphics, the revisited Art Deco decorations and the presence of the old French francs ("FF") reinforce all the vintage, authentic charm of this sign, which has now become a genuine decorative object.
Very decorative, this piece will find a perfect place in an industrial interior, a bar, a private cinema, a restaurant or a collection devoted to vintage signs and Parisian nightlife objects.
A rare and particularly decorative object, a witness to the world of cabarets and 20th-century French nightlife.Period: 20th century
