Pair Of Meissen-type Polychrome Porcelain Centerpieces
Important pair of polychrome porcelain centerpieces with gold highlights, early 20th-century German work in the taste of the Meissen Manufactory.
Each centerpiece features a large circular openwork top with floral decoration, resting on a celadon-colored central column adorned with embossed grapevines and bunches of grapes. The shaft is flanked by three female figures draped in antique style, holding bunches of grapes, evoking the Three Graces.
At the top, an elegant young woman dressed in antique style carries a basket overflowing with fruit and grapes. The ensemble features rich polychromy, highlighted by significant gold highlights, in a highly decorative neoclassical spirit.
A very fine quality.
Very fine craftsmanship for this spectacular pair, ideal as centerpieces or decorative elements for grand homes.
