Large portrait of Richard Synnot, early 19th century, oil on canvas. Excellent quality bust portrait of Synnot in very good condition. He wears a black suit, white vest and patterned tie with chain. Typical of the work of Grant, whose striking, dynamic portraits were frequently commissioned by political figures and the aristocracy. Presented in its original antique Regency-style gilded stucco frame.
