Oil on board monogrammed in point lower right A.L and dated J 1895 (?), on the back marked in pencil: Auguste Lepère 2500 (fr) .
The scene probably depicts Hamlet in front of Yorik's skeleton; the gravedigger plugging his nose in a gloomy landscape or the hanged swinging at the end of a rope.
Condition : sold in the condition of discovery , the thick cardboard shows gaps and lacks in the corners and traces of scratches and wear ,plan a cleaning and restorations( see the numerous photos ) .
