The Return Of The Prodigal Son. 16th-century Limoges Enamel
The Return of the Prodigal Son. 16th-century Limoges enamel. Based on an engraving by Hans Sebald Beham (Nuremberg, 1500 - Frankfurt am Main, 1550), it differs only in the inscription at the bottom of the enamel and at the top of the engraving. On the reverse are initials, probably the enameller's signature: L. L. A high-quality piece, very well preserved despite a small chip visible on the photos.
