Art Nouveau Wrought-iron Pedestal Table With Vine Decoration, Circa 1900
Elegant wrought-iron tripod pedestal table with rich naturalistic decoration of grape bunches and vine leaves, resting on three arched legs joined by a circular brace forming a low shelf in cut sheet metal.
The openwork belt is decorated with spiral scrolls and hammered twists, characteristic of the ornamental vocabulary of Art Nouveau. The uprights are embellished with finely worked relief sconces, depicting carefully modeled bunches of grapes.
Round top in veined white marble.
This work is part of the French ironwork production of the late 19th or early 20th century, in the taste of the École de Nancy.
Overall good condition, slight traces of use and original patina.
