Sculptural cobalt-blue blown glass vase, probably Murano, Italy, circa 1980-1990.

Beautiful architectural form decorated with horizontal rings in relief, creating a highly decorative optical rhythm effect. The deep blue, dense and luminous, reinforces the piece's graphic presence.

The model directly evokes Napoleone Martinuzzi's Art Deco research for Venini in Murano, particularly the vases with ringed decoration taken up by the Venini house. Our example is similar in its ringed construction, compact volume and sculptural dimension, while featuring a lower neck and a more contemporary interpretation.

The piece draws its strength from the repetition of volumes. The rings create an almost kinetic vibration, while the cobalt blue captures the light with beautiful depth. It's a very architectural, decorative vase, on the border between reinterpreted Art Deco and 1980s Italian design.

Condition: good overall condition. Some slight traces of use, micro-scratches and small superficial marks visible depending on the light. Unsigned.
