JAPAN - Edo period (1603-1868).
Samurai "Hampo" half mask in wrought iron, striated with parallel lines to match those of the face, pronounced chin, five-petal attachment peg on the lower cheeks for the kabuto cord and sweat hole under the chin.
The gloss black lacquered interior.
"Yodare-kake" (Gorgerin) with four degrees in gloss black lacquered wrought iron and white silk braiding, the reverse also gloss black lacquered.
Dimensions : 19 x 16 x 10 cm.
Sold with its base.
