Madonna and Child with the Infant Saint John, Oil on panel, 16th century"
Oil on poplar panel.
Period: 16th century:
Origin: Italy.
Artist: Michele Tosini, also known as Michele di Ridolfo del Ghirlandaio, a 16th-century Tuscan painter.
The same painting was also reproduced several times by his pupil Francesco Brina, but the color palette used is closer to Tosini’s.
The pictorial characteristics reveal the influence of the great masters of the period, such as Leonardo da Vinci.
The frame, adapted from the following century, is also Florentine, finely carved and gilded with gold leaf.
The panel painting was restored by our workshop.
