The central shaft is embellished with finely worked fluting and leaf garlands typical of the neoclassical repertoire. The circular marble top provides a refined contrast with the patinated wood structure.
His slender proportions (height 110 cm, diameter 35 cm) make this an ideal piece to set off a sculpture, vase or any decorative object.
There's some real fine carving work in the garland on the contour of the saddle
