Antique Majolica Floor With Central Rose Window – "fabbrica Privileggiata Dei Colonnesi" – Ca.

Artist: -
A rare lot of original glazed majolica flooring on a terracotta base, dating back to around 1830 and attributable to the "Privileggiato dei Colonnesi" factory, as evidenced by the oval mark impressed on the back of the tiles.

The flooring features a complete composition of great value, consisting of:

* a modular field decorated with stylized floral motifs, featuring elegant plant elements and vibrant colors
* a prominent central polychrome rosette, featuring a radial design of foliage and ornamental motifs, conceived as the visual fulcrum of the entire decorative scheme.

This combination identifies the flooring as a true "architectural ceramic carpet," typical of early 19th-century Southern Italian production, combining decorative tradition and late Neoclassical taste.

The tiles, made of solid terracotta with a glazed coating, retain all the characteristics of antique majolica.

The total available area is approximately 23 square meters, a significant and difficult-to-find area for a complete, hallmarked 19th-century historic floor.
