Pair Of Cast Iron Fifth Wheels - Original Polychromy.
A fine and decorative pair of freestanding antique cast
iron jardinière stands, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, executed
in an elegant neoclassical / Louis XVI revival style.
Each stand features a beautifully pierced lattice body
adorned with applied garlands of laurel leaves, tied wreaths, and a central
shell motif. The richly detailed surfaces retain their original polychrome
painted finish, with attractive aged patina in tones of green, ochre, and
reddish-brown.
