This circular deep amethyst-colored crystal butter dish features a twelve-cut base and a radiating cut lid. Its fine gold decoration features a central genre scene depicting a couple in silhouette, framed by suspended medallions and garlands of garlanded flowers. The contrast between the density of the dark crystal and the delicacy of the gilding is characteristic of Russian luxury productions.
