Large Bench In Gilded Wood
Circa 1830, large gilded wooden bench seat. It is upholstered in moleskin that has scaled over time (see photos). It is in the Louis XV style, with curved, molded fronts and a projecting oval ring in the center. The legs are curved, with a fan motif in the corners. The horsehair upholstery is in good condition. Small thin cloth under the seat, a tear reveals the seat boards.
