Empire period somno - Flamed mahogany - Marble top - 19th century
Elegant Empire period somno in flamed mahogany, opening with an arched front door revealing three interior shelves.
It is topped by a circular grey veined marble top and rests on a molded base forming a pedestal.
The front is adorned with a bronze pull knob.
This type of small cylindrical piece of furniture was used as an occasional or nightstand in early 19th-century interiors. The mahogany veneer features a beautiful flamed veining characteristic of quality furniture of this period.
