Without exaggeration, this magnificent and delicate tapestry can be considered a piece of extreme rarity on a global scale.

"Holy Jerusalem - Menorah in front of the Wailing Wall"

This tapestry having benefited from a thorough cleaning, and to a meticulous verification by our experts in our Artisan Workshop. It is now ready to adorn your home.

The feast of Hanukkah: the Temple of Jerusalem is occupied by a Greek empire. A group of Jews called the Maccabees rebel and take back the Temple. When they want to relight the menorah (the sacred candlestick), they find only a very small amount of pure oil, just enough for one day. But this oil would have lasted eight days, the time it took to prepare new oil. This is known as the miracle of the oil. That's why Hanukkah lasts 8 days, and why we light an extra candle every night.

Dive into the heart of history and spirituality with this magnificent tapestry depicting the famous Wailing Wall, one of Judaism's most emblematic sites.

In the foreground stands an elegant menorah, an ancestral symbol of light and wisdom, inspired by the one that once illuminated the Temple in Jerusalem. Unlike the hanoukkia used for the Hanukkah festival, this seven-branched menorah harks back to the deep origins of Jewish tradition.

The scene is framed by a warm stone arch, opening up a soothing view of the sacred wall and its praying faithful. Shades of terracotta, sand and blue sky bring a soft yet timeless atmosphere, evoking the special light of Jerusalem.

The work is a masterpiece in its own right.

A work steeped in history:
The Wailing Wall is the last vestige of Jerusalem's Second Temple, destroyed in the year 70. For centuries, it has been a place of meditation, prayer and hope for millions of people around the world. This tapestry captures this spiritual dimension while sublimating it through a delicate artistic interpretation.

A design rich in detail:

  • Immersive perspective from an arcade
  • Fine-worked menorah in the center
  • Faithful representation of the wall's stones
  • Small silhouettes adding life and depth
  • Light play highlighting architecture and sky

Perfect for bringing a cultural, spiritual and elegant touch to your home, this tapestry is both a decorative object and an invitation to travel.
