Louis Arthur ROLIN was born in Reims in 1831. He died there in 1861 at the age of 30. He was a pupil of Camille Corot, and in his work, the influence of the great Master shines through. Some of his paintings can be seen at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Reims. Louis Rolin is featured in "Bénézit". The painting is set off by a handsome wood and gilded stucco frame with corners decorated with laurel leaves and acanthus leaves. Its dimensions with the frame are 39 cm x 31 cm.
