Rare solid walnut and rosewood veneer desk, molded, carved and inlaid. It stands on a sloping base carved with twists and linked by a spacer shelf, the rounded-cut top features original leather with stamped motifs, it is topped by two curved drawers, a niche fitted with letter holders, embellished with a shelf inlaid with wisteria on a Japanese ash base. It opens with a convex drawer in the waistband, original ormolu handles and keys, hot-stamped on the top. Superb waxed finish.
