Small Gold Necklace, Enameled Cross And Braided Hair Mount, Empire Period, 1809-1819.
Small necklace (probably a child's), cross and upper part fixed and hollow, clasp in gold 750°/°° French hallmark of the Bélier (1809-1819), Empire period, both with partial enameling in black, the rest of the setting and entirely in braided hair, I've never seen such fine hair work, it's incredible, secure ratchet clasp, I think a regional jewel, having belonged to an already well-to-do family, in remarkable condition in view of the materials used, French work from the Empire period 1809-1819, gross weight 1gr, good condition, patina, and traces of use (all small dents, and a small enamel skip), dimension in length that of the fixed gold part up to the cross, length hair cord 31cm. (curiosity and collector's item)
