Very fine and rare engraving, representing Asia, from the early 18th century maroufflee on canvas is presented in its original frame.

Jean Mondon (sometimes called "Mondon le fils" to distinguish him from other engravers of the same name). was an engraver active during the reign of Louis XIV, in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. He is best known for allegorical engravings, notably series depicting the four continents (Europe, Asia, Africa, America).
Beautiful copy a little faded and a little enhanced with watercolor.
