Embossed silver fish service - H. Gavillon, Dijon - XIXth century
Elegant fish service including knife and serving fork, presented in its original case.
The handles are made of finely embossed and chased silver, decorated with delicate floral and vegetal motifs, typical of the French style of the late 19th century. The richly worked functional parts also feature engraved and openwork decoration, bringing finesse and refinement to the ensemble.
The original case, sheathed in leather-like imitation crocodile decoration and lined with satin, bears the mark:
"H. Gavillon, Coutelier-Orfèvre, Dijon", attesting to quality regional manufacture.

Condition:good overall condition. Slight traces of use and patina of time, inside of the box slightly stained, without major alteration. Nice, well-preserved set.
