Belgian painter, studied at the academies of Nivelles, Brussels and The Hague. Painter and architect, he was professor and director of the Watermael-Boitsfort Academy. He produced realistic portraits, nudes and landscapes in fresh, light colors, imbued with a joyful atmosphere. In the 1920s, he adopted a divisionist, impressionist technique.
