Didier Gardillou's famous flowers and fruits are larger than life.
This strawberry plant and its foliage are entirely in porcelain, shaped, decorated and assembled by hand. The whole is supported by small metal rods placed in an earthenware pot.

DIDIER GARDILLOU, Ceramic artist for over 30 years. A master of trompe-l'œil and porcelain flowers, he is the only one in Europe to achieve a truer-than-life realism in his creations.
His background:
Didier Gardillou, an aptitude for the plastic arts, a visit to the Adrien Dubouché Museum definitively steered him towards the arts applied to clay.
1972-1977 Training at ENAD in Limoges under Jean-Jacques Prolongeau. He becomes his pupil and collaborator in the workshop, participating in the 1% architectural projects and the manufacture of shaped pieces (stoneware, earthenware, porcelain painting, etc.).
1979 Laureate of the Chambre Syndicale des Céramistes et Ateliers d'Art de France. 1st prize at the Salon des Ateliers d'Art for all his work presented (porcelain cookie sculptures and enameled porcelain in petit feu colors).
