Eugène Piron was born in Dijon in 1875 and died in 1928 in Salon de Provence
French sculptor, winner of numerous awards and of the Grand Prix de Rome in 1903
He began by painting before devoting himself exclusively to sculpture
Wounded at Verdun in 1916, he left Paris to settle in Salon de provence, where he committed suicide in 1928
Author of numerous monuments, his works can be found in a number of museums, including the Musée D'orsay with the same subject
Small alterations to the brown patina, otherwise very good condition.
