Exceptional antique passementerie made entirely of gilded metal wire, dating from the XIXᵉ century.

This sumptuous trimming consists of two large, richly worked tassels, connected to their large, spectacular twisted cord, forming an ensemble of great decorative presence. The passementerie work is particularly remarkable: fine mesh on the collar, gadrooned cap and abundant skirt of twisted threads.

These impressive tassels, probably intended for heavy hangings in châteaux or prestigious homes, testify to remarkable craftsmanship and exceptional quality.
