A .J Chantron was born in Nantes on January 28, 1842 and died in Nantes on January 3, 1918.
He was a pupil of Francois Édouard Picot , William Bouguereau and Tony -Fleury during his time at the Paris Ecole des Beaux Arts.
Numerous works in the Nantes Museum, including the painting entitled Feuilles Morte .
Oil on cardboard, depicting a nude woman from behind facing an Empire phsyche, topped by a green parrot.
Signed lower right À J Chantron 1913.
