Wrought Iron Inkwell.

Wrought-iron inkwell holder. Made in a very singular way with a horseshoe base, the support tray to hold the inkwells is in wrought iron engraved with a heart with two swords symbolizing strength, protection and resilience, surmounted by a hollowed-out circle bearing the letters L and E. Beautiful 19th century desk inkwell, probably from a cavalry officer or military farrier.
Good condition with traces of use. Length 17cm, width 14.5 cm, height 12 cm.
