Louis XV Style Wardrobe From The Bresse Region, Made Of Solid Walnut, 18th Century
Louis XV style solid walnut wardrobe, 18th century. This charming regional Louis XV style wardrobe, crafted from solid walnut, features two molded and richly paneled doors. The doors boast beautifully shaped panels, adorned with superb veneers boasting warm, nuanced grain, creating a particularly elegant and natural look. The upper rail is finely molded, surmounted by a projecting cornice with clean, balanced lines. The slightly curved uprights, typical of the provincial Louis XV style, rest on cabriole legs ending in a carved base. The antique wrought iron hardware (keyhole escutcheons and hinges) adds to the wardrobe's authentic character. The patina, a beautiful golden honey tone, highlights the wood grain and testifies to its age. The interior can be fitted with storage (wardrobe or shelves as needed). Period: 18th century. Style: Louis XV. Wood: Walnut. Origin: French regional work. Condition: Good overall condition, with signs of wear and minor restorations. Dimensions: H 190 x W 142 x D 93 cm.
