Louis XV Commode Stamped Lapie
A charming Louis XV period commode, veneered in Rio rosewood and palisander. The marquetry decoration of reserves framed by Greek key patterns already hints at the Transition style. It features generous Louis XVI bronze mounts, gilded and lightly patinated. The top is gray marble. The locks are original and include a key. Of Parisian quality, this piece is stamped JF LAPIE, as well as the JME guild mark. Jean-François Lapie, Master in 1763, established on rue de Charenton in Paris. This piece has been restored and refinished by our team.
