19th Century Wooden Carousel Horse
Superb carousel horse, original carved and painted wood. The original eyes are made of glass. 19th-century cast iron support bracket, and horsehair tail (added later) as originally fitted. Sheet metal reinforcements for the leg joints were applied by showmen over time, evidence of use and authenticity. 19th-century fairground art. Good condition.
