Antique Reliquary Locket Pendant In 18k Rose Gold, Religious Pendant, Secret Locket
An 18th-century 18-carat gold reliquary pendant. The pendant is adorned with an oval mother-of-pearl disc featuring a red amber cabochon set on a straw-coloured background, positioned at the centre of the design. It forms the Heart of Christ, set within a radiating motif engraved into the mother-of-pearl. The medallion is decorated with fine chiselling along the edge; this secret compartment opens at the side by unscrewing the upper part. Antique religious medallion, probably French, dating from the late 18th century.
