19th-century Restoration style mahogany bookcase. Superb Restoration style bookcase, crafted from mahogany and rosewood, showcasing exceptional cabinetmaking. It features two glazed doors in the upper section, resting on solid panels in the lower section, highlighting the rich and warm grain characteristic of the fine woods used during the Restoration period. The interior comprises five shelves, offering ample storage. The back panel is made of light wood, adding brightness and contrast to the exterior. An elegant straight cornice and clean, balanced lines are typical of the Restoration aesthetic. In very good overall condition, the piece is sound, displaying a beautiful patina and a smooth varnish.
