A pair of Wittmann Fledermaus chairs by Josef Hoffmann, in walnut-stained bent beech. Designed specifically in 1907 for the Fledermaus Cabaret in Vienna. The wooden runners and ball joints are typical of the Hoffmann style. The seat and backrest are upholstered in yellow velvet. Vienna, first half of the 20th century.
